About DharmPanchang
A trusted, privacy-focused, non-commercial digital platform for the global Hindu community.
1. Why We Built DharmPanchang
In an era where spiritual knowledge and ancient Vedic calculators are frequently locked behind paywalls, intrusive advertisements, mandatory user registrations, and subscription schemes, DharmPanchang was established with a singular, unwavering pledge:
To provide completely free, authentic, accessible, and privacy-respecting Hindu calendar, Panchang, Muhurat, and devotional wisdom to every seeker worldwide.
2. Our Core Architectural Principles
- 100% Free Forever: No premium tiers, no credit systems, no locked content, and no monetization gates.
- Absolute Client-Side Privacy: When you generate a Janam Kundli or match horoscopes, your birth date, time, and coordinates are computed locally in your browser memory. We have no backend application server and zero database tracking.
- Astronomical Integrity: We do not fabricate timings or use arbitrary approximations. All sunrise, sunset, tithi, and planetary positions are calculated using high-precision planetary ephemeris models.
- Bilingual Equality: Hindi and English are supported as independent, first-class experiences with natural cultural phrasing rather than literal mechanical translations.
3. Editorial Policy & Accuracy Standards
Every festival date, puja vidhi, mantra transliteration, and astrological guideline published on DharmPanchang is vetted against recognized classical texts (Surya Siddhanta, Nirnaya Sindhu, Dharma Sindhu) and standards of the Indian Calendar Reform Committee.
4. Non-Commercial Solo Developer Initiative
DharmPanchang is maintained as a selfless community service (Seva). We welcome constructive suggestions, scholarly feedback, and corrections from Vedic scholars and astronomy enthusiasts.
